Account and data deletion
Updated: 19 July 2026
The procedure for deleting a Bassario account and the related user data for the website, the app, the App Store and Google Play.
1. How to request deletion
A user may request deletion of their account in the profile settings, where such a function is available, or send an email to support@bassario.com from the email linked to the Bassario account. The request must be sent from the account address or contain information making it possible to confirm ownership of the account.
2. What will be deleted
Once the request is confirmed, Bassario will delete or anonymise the profile data, active listings, photos, favourites, sessions, related settings and personal data that is no longer needed for the operation of the service, the law, security or dispute resolution.
3. What may be retained
Bassario may temporarily retain certain data where this is necessary to comply with the law, prevent fraud, investigate violations, protect users' rights, keep financial records, maintain backups or fulfil legal obligations. Access to and use of such data will be restricted.
4. Processing time
Deletion requests are handled within a reasonable period after ownership of the account has been confirmed. If part of the data cannot be deleted immediately, Bassario will explain the reason and the expected timeframe.
5. Consequences of deletion
After the account is deleted, the user will lose access to their listings, chats, favourites and account history. Restoration may be impossible. Before deletion it is advisable to complete any active deals and save the information you need.
6. Contact
All deletion requests and questions about data are sent to support@bassario.com.
7. Deletion of chat attachments
When an account is deleted, attachments sent by the user in correspondence are deleted or anonymised together with the messages they belong to. Please note that a copy of an attachment previously saved by the recipient to their own device is outside the Operator's control and cannot be deleted by the Operator. Information necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes or comply with legal requirements may be retained for the period provided for by the relevant purpose.
